Meet The Crew

Filmmaking is an incredibly collaborative process. Not only did we have amazing talent in front of the camera, but we also had it behind the scenes. So many dedicated and creative individuals helped make this film possible. You can read about some of our key crew members below and see the full list of the rest of the crew at the bottom.

Nancy Menagh

Writer & Director

Nancy Menagh was born and raised in New York City, exposing her to a diversity of cultures and ideas. She gravitated towards the arts from an early age, and worked in several mediums before discovering filmmaking to be her primary passion. Nancy is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she developed her artistic aesthetic by being afforded the opportunity to experiment with different genres. Aside from her work as writer and director, she has also had the chance to gain on-set experience working as an Assistant Director and Producer both in the United States and abroad. 

Arina Bleiman

Cinematographer

Arina Bleiman draws her cinematography from a diverse art background, growing up in the northern metropolitan of St. Petersburg, Russia and the sizzling streets of Miami, Florida. Learning to paint at an early age, and following in the footsteps of her camera operator grandfather and editor/photographer mother, Bleiman values efficient, progressive storytelling and collaboration of the film form. Her focus lies in inventive and mesmerizing storytelling with a powerful ability to choose and design a connection between images and emotions. Bleiman strives to bring her skills and vision to create and sustain a unique aesthetic for every story, always trying to reinvent and grow. 

Tristan Daley

Editor & Post Production Supervisor

Tristan Daley is a filmmaker who was raised in Henry County, Georgia. Aspirations of being a visual artist and storyteller led him to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts for film and television production. His final undergraduate project, a short film called "Debt to Society," received 3rd prize at Tisch's First Run Film Festival, was nominated for an HBO Short Film award, and won a producing award at Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival. He also had the honor of screening it at the AMC in Times Square for Urbanworld Film Festival. Other projects include his basketball documentary I Am Peace 2, which premiered on Slam Magazine's website, and Icon TV, a web series directed, shot, and edited by Tristan which focuses on independent artists in the New York City area. 

Christopher Zou

1st Assistant Director

Christopher Zou is an Assistant Director from Queens, NY. He attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where he had the opportunity to Assistant Direct a number of ambitious short films, including "As It Seems" with Nancy Menagh. He is also a graduate of the DGA Training Program and has been a member of the Directors Guild of America since 2016.

Bobb Barito

Sound Design/Mix

Bobb Barito is an award-winning sound designer and mixer based in New York City. At over four-hundred credits, he has the versatility to match any project, from broadcast commercials to cartoons to arthouse films. He currently sound designs two television shows, including Welcome to the Wayne (Nickelodeon) and Wishenpoof (Amazon). Other clients include TLC, Fusion, Google, PBS, Airbnb, TED, Jon Bon Jovi, Vainity Fair, The Weinstein Company, Entertainment Weekly, Lays, Maybelline, Under Armor, Dove, Mercedes, Kohl's and more. His work on short and feature films has been displayed at hundreds of festivals around the world, including Sundance, Slamdance, Tribeca, and SXSW.

James Newberry

Composer

James Newberry is a composer for film and visual media whose works have premiered at Cannes, the Tribeca Film Festival, the New York Film Festival, and other top-tier festivals around the world. 

His most recent projects include music for feature films, video games, television, shorts, advertising, and trailers.
